Karson grew up along the shores of the Pacific Northwest and living aboard boats encouraged in her a lifelong relationship to what she refers to as WALK, COLLECT, CREATE. Her pockets have always overflowed with rocks and shells. Her homes, both floating and land-based, continually honor nature's treasures—scraps of weathered creations displayed on every wall and shelf. She discovered the work of Andy Goldsworthy in the 90’s, which encouraged her to believe shells, rocks, and wood are as precious as diamonds. Wherever she is in the world, Karson walks, collects, creates. She glues tumbled beach glass to rocks. She dries leaves, weaves them through shells, and attaches them to wood. She places feathers under pottery shards.

Karson wraps seaweed around driftwood, mimicking its watery journey from the ocean. Each sculpture and Love Rock is one of a kind. She has amassed thousands of nature's bits from multiple countries and beaches—forests and mountains. Little surprises with stories are embedded in each unique creation. An organic collage transporting you to a faraway land or exotic beach, inviting the outside world into your home. She promises you will feel the positive artistic vibe emanating through every distinctive piece of art crafted from nature.
